Sponz Fest of Calitri

The summer of Alta Irpinia is enlivened every year by the Calitri Sponz Fest, conceived and directed by the musician Capossela, who brings music and tradition to the Irpinia villages.

The Calitri Sponz Fest was born as an event that celebrates wedding music, and more generally the traditions that revolve around the entire wedding ritual.

Today, it is an event that brings the villages of Alta Irpinia to a ferment, which for a few days are shaken by music, workshops, meetings, art, dances: a celebration of the rural culture of Irpinia that sees new and old generations come together. An occasion that attracts many young people and many tourists to Alta Irpinia.
