In Sant’Angelo we find the Cavascura thermal baths of Ischia, whose hot springs were already known to the ancient Romans.
To get there you must first walk to the Fumarole di Maronti from Sant’Angelo and then at the crossroads turn left for the baths.
The Cavascura thermal baths are located in a hydrogeological basin dug into the valley, where there are natural caves and a boiling spring that comes down from the mountain whose water is radioactive-hyperthermal.
Cavascura offers tuff caves where you can bathe, a hot shower that flows directly from the mountain, a natural sauna in the tuff cave, a cave filled with vapors where you can do what were once called “stoves”, that is, practice inhaling the gaseous exhalations of the basin.
Among the wellness treatments there are thermal baths, massages, irrigations, inhalation and mud masks.
After relaxing, complete the experience by going to Marina di Sant’Angelo to eat a lemon delight with a view of the Ischian sea.
