The beaches of Procida are small and of volcanic origin, therefore they are made of double, dark sand, but they are among the most beautiful and evocative in Campania!
Near the Marina, Port of Procida, there is the Lingua beach, reachable from Via Pagano via stairs.
Even though it is close to maritime traffic, the sea is clean and on the beach it is possible to rent deckchairs and umbrellas, and you can eat something in the seaside restaurant.
Walking from Marina Grande to via Roma, in front of the Scoglio Cannone, there is the Silurenza beach, also known as the beach of the caves.
Here you will find a bathing establishment and a bar-restaurant, but also a nice slice of free beach.
The postman’s beach, so called because Troisi filmed scenes of the film of the same name there, is actually called Spiaggia del Pozzo Vecchio, and can be reached via the road near the municipal cemetery (via Battisti). This beach is enclosed in its own small bay, where there is also a beach establishment.
Near here there is another small, very wild and less well-known cove, the Punta Ottimo beach, reachable by sea from the postman’s beach with a few strokes.
Ciraccio Beach is the longest sandy strip of Procida, and is also very popular given its proximity to the various campsites.
Here there are many bathing establishments, but also many strips that are free beaches.
From the Chiaiolella marina, taking via Solchiaro, you arrive at the southernmost tip of Procida: Punta Solchiaro where it is possible to dive and enjoy the Procida nature.
Continuing to descend along the Ciraccio, you come across the Chiaiolella beach, also known as the “ciracciello” beach by the islanders. It starts where the two stacks of Procida are, and has shallow waters and clean sea overlooking the island of Vivara.
Here too, free beaches alternate with equipped beaches, and nearby you will find Marina Chiaiolella, a small port.
From Piazza Olmo, near the Belvedere Elsa Morante, take an alley from where around 180 steps start which will take you to the hidden Chiaia beach, which overlooks the walled land and the corricella.
At the end of the sandy strip there are two small equipped establishments.
