How to reach the Caserta’s Royal Palace?

The Caserta’s Royal Palace is right at the centre of Caserta, in piazza Carlo di Borbone.

Here’s some tips on how to reach the Reggia di Caserta by car, by train and by bus.

Leaving from the north of Italy, drive along the A1 highway and take the exit signposted Caserta nord, then proceed towards Reggia.

Leaving from Salerno, instead, drive along the A30 highway and take the exit signposted Caserta sud then proceed towards Reggia.

You can park your car at the city car park next to the Caserta train station, in piazza Carlo di Borbone. Whereas, if you are in a camper you can park it at the motorhome parking area within the Bosco di San Silvestro WWF Oasis.

There are several direct trains to the Caserta train station leaving from both the Napoli central train station and the Salerno train station. Once you reach the Caserta train station, just walk for around 5 minutes along the square in front of the Royal Palace and you will reach the Reggia.

Once a month, the Reggia Express leaves from the Napoli central train station; it is an electric locomotive with historic coaches dating back to 1930, designed by Corbellini and Centoporte. The full price ticket is € 8,00 and you can buy one at trenitalia.com

You can take the C1RT bus by CTP that leaves from Piazza Garibaldi in Napoli and stops at Viale Carlo III, that is just 5 minutes walking away from the Reggia.
