The sulfurous thermal water of Telese pouring out of the Pugliano mount’s springs originated during the 1349 earthquake and still supplies the Telese termal baths, a popular destination for tourist from all over Italy that every year chose to spend their holidays here, relaxing and healing.
The thermal baths are near the northern entrance to Telese terme in piazza Minieri 1, not far from the parco del Grassano (Grassano park), and you can get there driving along the Benevento-Caianello state road and taking the exit signposted Telese terme, or you can get there by train, taking a Napoli-Foggia line train and getting off at the Telese-Cerreto train station.
The Telese termal baths is a complex surrounded by nature that includes the water flowing thermal pools (cold water, 20 °C) named Goccioloni and Pera, a Garden bar, an amphitheatre, a coffee bar, a playground for children, and another pool with hot thermal water where you can enjoy hydro-massage and water walking.
The sulfurous water of Telese is rich in sulphur and carbon dioxide and is an effective option for rheumatism, blood circulation, gynaecological and ENT wellness, as well as skin and gastrointestinal problems.
The park offers many different therapies, such as inhalations, skin balneotherapies, vaginal irrigation, mud-balneotherapies, hydroponic therapies and therapies for peripheral vascular diseases. To undergo any treatment you just need a prescription.
After relaxing at the thermal baths you can go visiting the Grassano park that offers a picnic area, a restaurant and a coffee bar.
