Between San Salvatore Telesino and Telese Terme, surrounded by the nature of the Valle Telesina (Telesina Valley), there is the Grassano park, an oasis where the key word is relax, among picnics, walks, dinner at the restaurant by the river and kayak tours.
The park is 30 km away from Benevento, and you can reach it driving along the SS Telesina state road and taking the exit signposted Castelvenere towards via Pugliano.
The Grassano park is crossed by the Grassano stream, a clear and unpolluted watercourse with wooden picnic tables and barbecues that people can book online or by phone (reservation is mandatory). The 6 person picnic table/gazebo is € 25,00, whereas the 12 person one is € 50,00.
Along the Grassano river there is the Grassano park’s restaurant, a place where you can lunch or dine with 0 km products, local meat and Neapolitan pizza.
Those who are into water adventure can rent a kayak to sail the 500 navigable metres of the river; the one-seat kayak is € 5,00€ every 30 minutes, whereas the 2-seat kayak is € 10,00 every 30 minutes.
