Visit Atrani, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, due to its fascination of the ancient fishing village that has remained untouched.
To get to Atrani, reach Amalfi by the SITASud bus and from there take the bus that leads to Atrani.
Atrani is a small medieval village full of alleys and steps all leading to Piazza Umberto I, the main square of the village, where you will find the Chiesa di San Salvatore de’ Birecto, built in the 10th century in the baroque style.
Not far from there, you can also visit the Collegiata di Santa Maria Maddalena Penitente, in the baroque style as well.
After the visit to the old Atrani, you can spend some time on the beach of Atrani, a small but very evocative beach with a crystal clear sea. There, you will find all the comforts, and restaurants as well.
If you are into trekking, you can walk the Percorso Rosa (Pink Path) that starts from Amalfi and gets to Atrani. It is a not so demanding walk that takes about three hours. It starts in Via delle Repubbliche Marinare (Amalfi), passes through Ravello and gets to the Collegiata di Santa Maria Maddalena Penitente in Atrani. For further information, you can ask about it at the tourist office in Amalfi.
Atrani is easy to reach from Amalfi (1 km). It takes a 15 minutes walk that runs along the sea.
