Trekking to the Crapolla fjord and the Sirenuse path

Two paths that lead to wonder

Trekking to the Crapolla Fjord and the Sirenuse path

Near Sant’Agata and Massa Lubrense, there is the possibility of taking walks towards Marina di Crapolla, where is the Crapolla fjord, and towards the Sirenuse path.

Also not to be missed is a visit to the small village of Nerano.

TREKKING TO THE CRAPOLLA FJORD

From the center of Sant’Agata sui due golfi you start to descend along Via Pigna until you reach the nearby village of Torca, from whose center (via Nula) a path starts that leads to the Iarito stream.

After crossing the stream, a steep, narrow and dirt path begins (marked in blue) that reaches a staircase made of more than 650 steps that leads to the Crapolla Fjord, passing by the Crapolla Abbey.

During the walk that lasts about a couple of hours, you can admire breathtaking views of the Gulf of Salerno, Ischia and Praiano, and at the end you can enjoy the tranquility of the small bay of Crapolla.

TREKKING TO THE SIRENUSE PATH

The Sirenuse path takes its name from the Li Galli Islets located right in front of it, which according to legend were inhabited by sirens.

The hike to the Sirenuse path begins in Sant’Agata dei due golfi, where you proceed along I trav. Pigna, and along via Nula to Torca. After passing Monticello, the dirt path begins that leads to Pizzetiello, a small promontory 3 km from the Sirenuse.

From here, you descend towards Colli di Fontanelle where the Isolotti delle sirene are clearly visible. From the Colli you return to Sant’Agata following the red signs.
