Visit Ischia: what to do and to see
Sea, thermal baths and history within the Gulf of Napoli

CASTELLO ARAGONESE
Near Ischia Porto, where ferryboats and hydrofoils dock, there is the hamlet of Ischia Ponte where you can visit the Castello Aragonese (Aragonese Castle) dating back to 1300, one of the most renowned symbols of Ischia. Above the Castello there is the Torre Guevara, a tower with a breathtaking view.
BORGO SANT’ANGELO
On the other side of the island there is borgo Sant’Angelo, a quiet hamlet with a carfree centre. From here you can take a panoramic path and reach the Fumarole dei Maronti (Maronti Fumaroles).
FORIO D’ISCHIA
On the same side of the island, heading northward you can reach Forio d’Ischia, where you can visit the Parco termale Giardini di Poseidon (Poseidon Gardens Thermal Bats), the Ravino Gardens and the Chiesa del Soccorso. Proceeding northward you will reach the Giardini La Mortella (La Mortella Gardens), a beautiful botanic garden that is open during summertime.
You should stop at one of the many restaurants in Ischia and enjoy the delicious coniglio all’ischitana (Ischia-style rabbit) or the zingara ischitana (Ischia gypsy), the famous stuffed toasted slices of bread, you won’t regret it!
You can either have a swim at one of the beautiful beaches or relax at one of the many thermal baths that offer one-day tickets.
If you are into adventure, you can have a walk to the Monte Epomeo (Epomeo Mount) enjoying one of the many hiking trails.
