A wonderful inlet at the foot of Monte di Panza
Between Borgo Sant’Angelo and Forio, there is the Pelara bay of Ischia, a small and wonderful inlet at the foot of Monte di Panza, reachable via a low difficulty path.
The trek to the Pelara bay lasts about an hour and there are no refreshment points along the route, so bring a water bottle and snacks.
The trekking route to Pelara bay of Ischia starts from Piazzetta San Leonardo in Panza, you go down keeping to the left passing by the church of San Gennaro, until you see the arrows indicating Cava Pelara and Monte di Panza.
You then take the dirt road that is on the right where after a short while you will meet the sign for Pelara bay.
At this point you go down towards the sea via a path immersed in greenery, until the bay appears before you in all its beauty.
From Pelara Bay you can reach the Monte di Panza hill, just above Sorgeto Bay.
