The Provincial Archaeological Museum of Salerno is located in the heart of the historic center, inside the San Benedetto monastic complex, and offers visitors a collection of finds ranging from prehistoric to Roman times.

In the garden there are stone finds from the city of Salerno; on the ground floor there is the exhibition dedicated to the prehistory of Salerno and the province, while on the first floor there are finds from the Roman era, including the highlight: the bronze head of Apollo found in the waters of Salerno.
