The underground of Naples hides wonderful things. In fact, thanks to the Metro Art Naples project, the Line 1 and Line 6 underground stations are enriched by some contemporary works of art, becoming wonderful works of art themselves.
The underground stations in Naples have been redesigned by world famous architects and designers, such as Gae Aulenti and Karim Rashid just to mention two of them, becoming true art installations…wonderful and extraordinary.
The Metro Art Naples project stations are the Line 1 – Garibaldi, Università, Municipio, Toledo (the most popular), Dante, Museo, Materdei, Salvator Rosa, Quattro Giornate, Vanvitelli, Rione Alto, Felimetrò (Piscinola station) – and the Line 6 – Mergellina, Lala, Augusto, Mostra – underground stations.
The Neapolitan Mobility Company with the Metro Art Tour educational services enhances the rich heritage of underground art and architecture with programs of educational visits, itinerant thematic lessons, creative workshops for the little ones.
