Between Salerno and Paestum, the territory that runs along the Sele and Tanagro rivers is called the Sele-Tanagro river Natural Reserve, an area with many attractions.

SELE AREA

The area included in the Sele-Tanagro river natural reserve is rich in poplar, willow and reed woods, as well as hosting the huge pine forest on the coastal side, where sea lilies are present.

A guest of the Sele river is the otter, symbol of the Persano Oasis which is part of the reserve.

This area is rich in beautiful villages such as Buccino and Valva, among others, but also areas of interest such as Contursi Terme, the Pertosa Caves, the Castelcivita Caves.
