The Virgiliano Park of Posillipo, also known as the Park of Remembrance, is a green area that rises precisely on the Posillipo hill.
From the terraces of the park you can admire breathtaking views that go from the islet of Nisida to the entire Gulf of Naples.
To get to the Virgiliano park in Posillipo on Viale Virgilio, take bus C31 from Vomero and Posillipo, which stops at Manzoni-Parco Virgiliano, or bus 140 from Piazza Vittoria and Mergellina, which stops at Discesa Coroglio-Marechiaro, and from there continue on foot towards Viale Virgilio.
From the entrance to the Virgiliano park in Posillipo you will immediately notice the terraced structure surrounded by greenery, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples, the islet of Nisida, Vesuvius, the Sorrento peninsula and Capo Miseno.
At the park you will also find a play area for children, kiosks for a coffee or an aperitif, an amphitheater and a sports facility.
Access to the park is free. In the summer it remains open until midnight or one o’clock, while in the winter until 9:00 pm.
Near the park you will find the archaeological area of Pausilypon, and it is also possible to easily reach the islet of Nisida and the City of Science.
Located in the Posillipo district, halfway between the Gulf of Naples and Pozzuoli, Residenza Le Rose Villa D’Arte offers rooms, apartments and a permanent art collection. Featuring white walls and original furniture, all rooms and apartments offer a quiet environment and free WiFi. They also include a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining area.
