In via Cimarosa you can find the green lung of Vomero, Villa Floridiana, inside which there is a museum dedicated to decorative arts: Duca di Martina national ceramics museum.
To get there you have to take the L1 metro and get off at Vanvitelli, or the central funicular that stops at piazza Fuga.
This particular museum is entirely dedicated to the decorative arts, and includes over 6,000 works from the collection of Placido de Sangro, Duke of Martina, and Riccardo de Sangro.
The museum is divided into three floors: the rooms on the ground floor include works, ceramics, glass, ivory, majolica, crystal and coral dating back to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
On the first floor, however, there are European porcelains including those of Capodimonte, while in the basement there is the oriental collection, including Ming and Qing porcelains.
Once you leave the museum, head towards the panoramic terrace of Villa Floridiana overlooking the Gulf of Naples.
