Visit Minori, the city of the taste

Visit the small city of Minori is located between Maiori and Ravello. This place will definitely suit you if you are looking for a relaxing vacation dedicated to great food (both sweet and savory) and crystal-clear sea.

From Minori, you can also walk the Sentiero dei Limoni (Lemons Path) up to Maiori: a 60 minutes walk among old citrus plants and amazing views.

HOW TO REACH MINORI

To get to Minori you have to take one of the Sita Sud buses heading to Minori, whether you are in Salerno or Napoli.

From April to September you can reach Minori by ferry taking the Travelmar ferry-boats from Salerno to Amalfi (Minori is the stop before Amalfi).

WHAT TO SEE IN MINORI

Walking along the seafront in Minori, you will immediately notice the majestic Basilica di Santa Trofimena (Saint Trofimena’s Cathedral), the patron saint of the city, dating back to the 18th century, where the remains of the saint are kept.

Exploring Maiori, you can visit the Villa Romana e Antiquarium for free. This building dates back to the 1st century and its lower ground floor was once earmarked for thermal water. You can visit the Antiquarium which is rich in Roman archaeological finds.

WHAT TO DO IN MINORI

After visiting the city and enjoying its beach, you can find out why Minori is called “the city of taste”. Minori is definitely the best place to have some pasta, especially the famous ndunderi alla minorese, a typical kind of pasta that resembles the shape of the gnocchi pasta but have some ricotta cheese in the dough.

The ndunderi are usually made for the patron saint celebration and are served with Italian meat sauce. A unique delicious pasta you can only have in Minori.
