Visit the village of Conca dei Marini and the Emerald grotto

To reach Conca dei Marini firstly you have to get to either Amalfi or Sorrento by bus, or even by ferryboat. Then you have to take the SITA 5070 bus and get off at Conca dei Marini.
If you travel by car, take the A3 highway up to Vietri sul Mare, then drive along the SS 163 state road until you reach Amalfi; from Amalfi take the SS 366 state road towards Agerola and drive along it until you reach Conca dei Marini.
The small hamlet of Conca dei Marini has six churches, all of them situated in panoramic points. Among them, the Sant’Antonio church, dating back to the 2nd century, and the Santa Maria di Grado church, overhanging the sea.
Other places worth a visit are Capo di Conca, with its Torre saracena (Saracen Tower) and the beach resort, and the famous Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto), with its underwater nativity scene.
Conca dei Marini it’s not just about sun and sea, it also offers many treats for the palate, such as the typical sfogliatella Santarosa, or the coniglio nelle foglie di limone (rabbit in lemon leaves).
Don’t miss the chance to bath in Marina di Conca, with its small beach surrounded by the cliffs.
Through a guided tour it is possible to visit the Emerald Grotto on board a small boat (entrance included), but also Amalfi and Positano. Enjoy the sea views, explore the local shops and admire the stunning architecture of the most beautiful towns on the Amalfi Coast.
