White bay and Infreschi bay, walking along the path

White bay and Infreschi bay are two Cilento beaches. They’re both very popular, thanks to their beauty, their wild nature and their crystal clear sea.

You can reach both of them by boat, from the harbour of either Marina di Camerota or Palinuro; you can also reach these beaches by walking the evocative sentiero degli Infreschi (Infreschi Path)

THE SENTIERO DEGLI INFRESCHI

Near the spiaggia di Lentiscelle (Lentiscelle beach), right after the wooden bridge, there is a path signaled by white and red signs that is named “sentiero del Mediterraneo” (Mediterranean path), and it goes through spiaggia del Pozzallo (Pozzallo beach), White bay and Infreschi bay

The sentiero degli Infreschi is surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub. It is a 4,5 km long mix of trails and paved roads and it will take you three hours to walk it, so be sure to have a swimsuit, a cap, sun cream and proper shoes with you.

Cala bianca, with its white pebbles, is quieter than Cala degli Infreschi, that is usually crowded. Here the sea is particularly nice and clear; in fact, it is part of the Area marina protetta Costa degli Infreschi e della Masseta (Costa degli Infreschi and della Masseta marine protected area)

SMARTIP

From Cala degli Infreschi you can easily reach the Oasi degli Infreschi (Infreschi Oasis), a farm surrounded by nature that offers only food prepared with its own products. Here, among hammocks and gazebos, you can have some local typical food, such as the “maracucciata” (a kind of cornmeal mush), the freselle (a kind of bread) with anchovies and cherry tomatoes and homemade pasta, a great place to relax before coming back to Marina di Camerota.
