A 4-days tour of the Amalfi Coast

Visiting the Amalfi Coast in just four days is very easy as the hamlets are very small and enjoyable.

Here’s a handy tour to visit the most beautiful places of the Coast; here we are with our four-days trip to the Amalfi coast!

HOW TO TRAVEL DURING THE 4-DAY TOUR?

No matter where you come from, just reach the Salerno central train station, where you can rent either a car or a moped (the best choice in the summertime).

DAY ONE

On the day one of our four-days trip to the Amalfi coast, leave from the Salerno train station and reach Vietri sul Mare, the birthplace of the Vietri ceramics, where you can have a delicious breakfast; then proceed towards Minori where you can stay overnight for the next two days.

In Minori you can spend the rest of the day walking around the town and relaxing at the local beach. Enjoy some delicious food at one of the many restaurants here. You can’t miss the ndunderi alla minorese (Minori ndunderi pasta) and the delizia al limone (lemon cake).

DAY TWO

Take a walk along the sentiero dei limoni (lemons path) that leads to Maiori, where you can relax at the longest beach of the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy the sun and go on a boat trip to visit the grotta di Pandora (Pandora’s Grotto) and the grotta Sulfurea (Sulphurous Grotto).

You can also walk around the town that offers many good places to visit, such as the Castello di San Nicola (San Nicola Castle) and the giardini di Palazzo Mezzocapo (Mezzocapo Palace’s Gardens).

DAY THREE

Leaving Maiori don’t forget to visit Ravello to enjoy the beautiful Terrazza dell’infinito (Infinity Terrace) inside Villa Cimbrone.

On the last day, you can spend the night either in Atrani or in Conca dei Marini, as these towns are less expensive than other “famous” towns. Moreover, they both are very close to the queen of the coast: Amalfi, where you can spend the third day. In Amalfi you can visit the museo della carta (Paper Museum), enjoy the Amalfi Lemon Experience, have a swim in the crystal clear Amalfi sea, have a cocktail in piazza Duomo.

DAY FOUR

The fourth day is dedicated to the vertical city: Positano. Take a walk along the colorful alleys and the small art galleries; breath deeply the air coming from the citrus groves; buy some handmade sandals; have a swim in the Positano sea!
