The village of Nerano is located below Massa Lubrense and Sant’Agata sui due golfi, and borders the natural area of Punta Campanella.
Its beaches include the Ieranto bay and Marina del Cantone.
From Naples station, take the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento, from here the SITA bus leaves for Sant’Agata-Nerano, and stops at Nerano-Marina del Cantone.
Nerano and the Bay of Ieranto on the Sorrento Coast
The main beach of Nerano is located in Marina del Cantone, where there are all the services offered by the lidos and restaurants on the sea.
From Marina del Cantone a path starts that in 15 minutes leads to the Baia di Recommone, a very suggestive pebble beach.
Near the small square of Nerano, in via Jeranto, a path starts that passes through Villa Rosa and descends for a stretch where the Mediterranean scrub dominates.
Continuing to descend you arrive at a crossroads, where both roads (one includes a staircase) lead to the FAI refuge. From here you arrive, via the miners’ ladder, to the natural area of the Ieranto Bay, an enchanting pebble beach that overlooks the Faraglioni of Capri, where nature is the only company.
If you want to stay in Nerano, Villarena Relais is an 18th century farmhouse that offers a garden, terrace, children’s playground, swimming pool and the rooms are truly characteristic.
