From Salerno to the Amalfi Coast: the SITA Sud buses that travel along the Amalfi ss 163. Buses leave from the SITA Sud bus terminal (in via Vinciprova), and also stop at the Salerno train station. The new ticket COSTIERASITA, that costs €10 or €12 (the latter is valid also for the public transportation in Positano), is valid for 24 hours when used and allows unlimited routes and stops along the Amalfi coast.
Whereas the ticket COSTIERASITA TERRA&MARE allows unlimited use of all the Sita buses along the Amalfi and the Sorrento coast, and it also includes a sea ride with Travelmar.
You can reach the Amalfi coast from Salerno also via the sea, which is usually better in summer due to the great amount of traffic that blocks the Amalfi ss 163. The Travelmar ferries, that cost from 9 to 12 euros per person based on the travel route, depart from Piazza della Concordia, more precisely from the Concordia port.
From Salerno-Amalfi Coast airport it is possible to take an interregional train from the nearby Pontecagnano station to Salerno station, and from there then continue towards the Amalfi Coast by SITA SUD bus or rent a car or a scooter.
From Naples to the Amalfi coast: the Curreri buses leave from the Capodichino Airport and allow you to reach Sorrento paying 10 euros per ticket, and then from Sorrento you can take the Sita Sud buses to move throughout the coast.
Whereas, from Naples central train station you can take the local Circumvesuviana train to get to Sorrento and from there a Sita Sud bus to reach the Amalfi coast.
