In Atripalda, in front of the archaeological park of ancient Abellinum, the Mastroberardino family has been cultivating the best Irpinia vines with passion and dedication for ten generations, at the Mastroberardino agricultural company, to give life to the Mastroberardino wines, now known throughout the world.
The Mastroberardino family owns estates scattered throughout Irpinia, and grows the grapes of Fiano di Avellino, Aglianico, Greco di Tufo, Falanghina, Piedirosso and Coda di Volpe.
Their products are grouped into seven lines: icon, villa dei misteri, cru, heritage, smart, grappa and passito. Some of the most appreciated Mastroberardino wines are Radici, Falanghina del Sannio, Fiano di Avellino, Villa dei Misteri red Pompeian.
Right in front of the Mastroberardino headquarters are the excavations of ancient Abellinum, which are a must-see to learn about the history of Avellino.
It is possible to visit the historic wine cellars of the Mastroberardino agricultural company, where the wines “rest and temper their personality”, whose domes of the aging caves are frescoed with paintings by various artists.
The packages that the Mastroberardino family offers are various: the wine tasting that includes a visit to the cellar and a wine tasting; the wine and food pairing that offers a visit to the cellar, wine tasting and a buffet with local cold cuts and cheeses paired with the wines; the grand wine tasting that in addition to the visit to the cellar and the family vault offers lunch or dinner with various courses paired with the wines.
At the Mastroberardino headquarters in via Manfredi it is also possible to visit by reservation the MIMA (Museo d’Impresa Mastroberardino Atripalda), the museum dedicated to the history of the family.
