How to get to Capri

A little guide on how to get to Capri, here we go!

Both the ferry-boats and the hydrofoils towards Capri leave from the Molo Beverello in Napoli. The ferry-boats take one hour and half to get to the island; instead, the hydrofoils only take 40 minutes, but the ticket is expensive.

Also the fast ships towards Ischia leave from the Molo Beverello, but the trip takes about one hour.

From April to October you can reach Capri from the Amalfi Coast by hydrofoil. The hydrofoils leave from Salerno, Amalfi and Positano.

CAPRI E ANACAPRI

The island of Capri is divided in Capri and Anacapri.

Capri is the most touristic and the most crowded area of the island, especially the Piazzetta and the Marina Grande areas.

Anacapri is at the foot of the Monte Solaro; it is the wildest area of the island, and there you can visit the Grotta Azzura (Light Blue Grotto) and the Faro di Punta Carena (Punta Carena Lighthouse).

HOW TO GET TO CAPRI FROM ANACAPRI AND VICEVERSA

Near Piazzetta di Capri you will find the terminus of the small local buses that get to Anacapri in just 15 minutes for only 2 euros.

If you want to go to Marina Grande from Capri you can use the chairlift and you will get there in just 4 minutes.

You can also walk from Anacapri to Capri as the road is downhill and it takes about one hour.

You can also take one of the small buses to Capri that leave from Piazza Vittoria.
